Andrea Caballero Gonzalez Performs June 7th
After Ana Vidovic thrilled a sold out Portland audience last month, U.S. Classic Guitar President William Jenks is proud to present yet another outstanding female guitarist Andrea Gonzalez Caballero of Spain who Operworld Magazine describes as, "the female voice of the Spanish Guitar." Her debut concert in the Portland International Guitar Series will take place on Friday, June 7th at 8:00 PM at the Historic Eliot Chapel in downtown Portland l ocated at 1101 SW 12th Ave. Ms. Vidovic, as well as Su Meng and Wang Yameng of the Beijing Guitar Duo all formally studied with virtuoso Cuban guitarist Manuel Barrueco and Ms. Caballero is also currently studying with Barrueco at the Peabody Conservatory. She is also first prize winner of several prestigious international guitar competitions including the 2016 Alhambra International Guitar Competition in Spain.
