On this MAYDAY We Ask for Your Support!
Since 2005, Portland Classic Guitar, newly reformed in 2018 as U.S. Classic Guitar, has brought in the greatest classical guitarists in the world such as John Williams, the Romeros, David Russell, Sharon Isbin, the Assads, Manuel Barrueco, Eliot Fisk, Ana Vidovic, Berta Rojas, Eduardo Fernandez, Roland Dyens, Carlos Barbosa-Lima and many more to play for audiences, teach master classes, and provide inspirational outreaches to schools. The newly reformed organization was created to provide more opportunities for funding, such as tax-deductible donations, charitable donations, and grants which allow for the expansion of our mission which is to inspire, connect, and engage our community through the artistry of the classical guitar.
U.S. Classic Guitar needs your support more now than ever. We were able to present concerts and master classes virtually during the pandemic world wide and now finally in person. However, Covid-19 continues to impact audience attendance for concerts, which helps to raise funds for artist fees, venue costs and other expenses. Donations and sponsorships are needed to keep classical guitar alive through this difficult time.
Countless audience members have expressed their gratitude and stated that the series has brought them hope and inspiration during this dark time. One of our online season ticket holders recently stated, " You orchestrate the best classical guitar experiences across the globe! Every concert simply superb, and the master classes are all incredible. I am so grateful for the opportunity to participate virtually-hopefully in person one day." Students of guitar are grateful for the chance of a lifetime to take master classes with the best in the world.
You can keep classical guitar stay alive by donating now. U.S. Classic Guitar needs to raise another $25,000 by the end of our 2022 season to keep going. Time is of the essence. The good news is we did need $35,000 and with only one week of fundraising we have already brought in $10,000! Everyone who is donating is thrilled with the series and is happy to contribute to keep it going. We are confident that if we can raise this money, we will have made it through one of the toughest times for performing arts organizations in history and we will be happy to continue our programming for years to come.
Please pick up the phone today and call us at 971-715-8097, email us at email@example.com to make your donation or pledge or donate directly on our website.
