Portland Classic Guitar (PCG) is proud to announce the next artist in its much-heralded 2014-15 concert season: guitarist Jason Vieaux, who will perform on Friday, October 10 at 8 PM, in St. Anne’s Chapel at Marylhurst University. Vieaux will also give a master class that morning at 11 AM, in Marylhurst’s Wiegand Hall (please note that this is a new rescheduled master class date and time). The last PCG concert—the Brasil Guitar Duo—sold out, and Vieaux’s concert is likely to sell out as well. It is recommended that you get your tickets early! Portland Classic Guitar (PCG) is proud to present a performance by João Luiz and Douglas Lora, better known as the Brasil Guitar Duo—two internationally known guitarists admired for their diverse approach, which incorporates the standard repertoire (including such composers as Bach, Sor, Scarlatti, and Debussy), with traditional Brazilian music (including such styles as choro, samba, maxixe, and baião), as well as brand-new works (including their own arrangements and compositions). Angel Abbey on Friday, September 5, and the second at Marylhurst University’s St. Anne’s Chapel, on Friday, September 12.
